Privacy policy

Your data, plainly explained.

Last updated 29 September 2026

This policy covers the BRIDGE app (for riders and drivers) and this website. BRIDGE collects only what it needs to run safe, fairly priced trips, never sells your data, and deletes it when you ask.

Location

Riders’ location is used to set pickups and show the driver arriving. Drivers’ location is shared with BRIDGE while they are online or on a trip, and with their rider during that trip. We do not track anyone’s location when they are offline and not on a trip.

Who sees your data

  • Your rider or driver sees your first name, and for drivers the car, plate and rating — never your phone number. Calls go through a BRIDGE relay.
  • Someone you share a trip with sees the trip’s progress and the driver’s car for up to 3 hours.
  • The BRIDGE team sees what it needs for support, safety and payments.
  • AUATON receives monthly totals about member drivers (trips, earnings, incidents) and takes part in reviewing incidents involving members.
  • Service providers who process data for us: SMS and WhatsApp delivery (Termii), payments and payouts (Paystack), maps and traffic (Google Maps), push notifications (Expo, via Google and Apple), crash and error reports (Sentry), and hosting.
  • Investors and partners only ever see totals, such as “120 riders travel Badagry–Agbara weekly”.
  • Authorities only when the law requires it or someone’s safety is at risk.

We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while you use BRIDGE. When you delete your account, your name, number, documents and bank details are removed immediately. Trip and payment records are kept without your identity for as long as accounting and tax law requires.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to how it is used. Delete your account here or in the app under Settings. For anything else, email hello@bridgemobility.ng. Reply STOP to any marketing message to stop receiving them.

Security

Sign-in codes expire quickly, documents are stored privately, payments are handled by Paystack (BRIDGE never sees card details), and staff access is limited by role.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
